Garage Sale, Packing, Moving

Moving Day is coming up!

On the 17th Andrew and I will be loading the U-Haul and moving to the burbs! We will be closer to work, school, and my doctor! However, farther from our families. Still moving is always exciting, however a pain. During the day I've been trying to pack as much as I can, so we are not up  all night before we move trying to finish packing. I want it to go as easily as possible. Dad's driving the U haul, Andrew and I will be driving our cars, and our friend Jake will be driving up to help as well! I realized though going from 1,000 sq ft apt to 650 ft is quite a challenge, especially considering the loss of closets and the garage!

I think I have most of the stuff sorted and ready. But still so much more. And living arrangements is only one part of moving. Figuring out school and work was quite a task too! I got into an MSW program, however, I'm going to put off going right away. I want to really get going with real estate. Focus on the state exam and get hired as a broker somewhere. I can do this while working at the Family Video I'm transferring to! That way I can learn the ropes as a broker, see if I would prefer working in Real Estate more than social work. Everyone knows how much I love houses and architecture.

I don't want to add anymore student loans to the pile. So I'm going to put it off for now. Andrew will go to school and work. And I will work in real estate and the family video. In a year or two, if I decide I don't want to do real estate full time I can go back to school. There's no rush. Might as well figure out what I want to do. Besides, I can technically defer my enrollment until spring as a back up-  if I decide real estate isn't for me.

But I doubt that will happen. I love houses, real estate, and the flexibility it offers :-)

So for now that's the plan, but who knows, only time will tell! My next blog won't be until after we move! So tah-tah for the next two weeks!

All I know is I'm soo excited to go! Last Fall I went to Las Vegas with my friend Amanda! It was soo much fun and had been like decade..seriously 10+ years...since I had been on vacation (well more than wknd trips to see friends who live within a 10 hr drive, hee hee Kym!) When I get back from my trip this weekend, I will post about it too! I just have to pack a little more when I go places and make sure to do my meds. On top of the regular, clothes, etc that most people pack  I will also pack: therapy machine 5 nebulizer cups  28 vials of medicine for my nebulizers over 150 pills I will take during the wknd 16 cans of stomach...

Tech-savvy Thursday- new look!

New Look: Getting Tech-Savvy: Since, I'm getting more involved in blogging, I decided it was time to give my blog a makeover! eMake-overs are always fun, whether you getting a new hair style, or outfit at the mall. However, I've been researching a lot about blogs and social networking. And I thought it may be time to update my blog's look.      I think I like my new one (at the top) a lot better than the old one (pictured on right). What do you think? I wanted my blog to feel more personal and I wanted to make it more tech-savy. I kept the black/purple color scheme. But made the purple the main color instead (and made it a softer purple). I then started looking up how to make my own buttons, widgets, etc. It isn't too hard to find tutorials for anything these days, between google, pinterest, and forums, you can pretty much find instructions for anything. I used a simple code and photobucket to make my own buttons: I think my new Tw...

The Man that Saved My Life

A Story About an Amazing Doctor: On Saturday I went to the Peoria Great Strides Walk. I've done the walk in 2009, 2012, 2013 and now 2014! I love the Peoria Walk site, It has a great route right along a very beautiful & prominent street. One side of the street are architecturally amazing and grand homes and on the other side is the river. What a gorgeous route to walk! This year Peoria added our Team Sign to the Route! CF2 (well CF (squared)) but the 2 always ends up next to it (even in my blog). It's hard to type CF and 2 to the second power! It technically stands for "Courageoulsy Fighting Cystic Fibrosis" I was beyond thrilled when I saw the official sign on the route! Pic on right: Mom and I & the Team Sign! Andrew and Sarah came too though :-) Peoria's Walk is always really friendly too. There was a photobooth, UniqueTwist (makes balloon creations), a Drum core and little girl with CF's dance class performed! I also got to see one of my two ...
