Shake, Shake, Shake

Shaking: I'm happy to announce I've started shaking again! That's right, my big ol' clunky vest that broke down a while ago is going away. I got my new vest delivered! I love it. It is quite a bit smaller and I can actually pick it up and move it! Check out the difference in size on the right side! The old one on the right and new one on the left! It came with a rolling duffel bag it can be kept in or travel with it. YAY! That's the best news. Since I live a couple hours away from my parents, I do tend to visit them at least once a month and I stay for at least a few days. When I had my old vest, it was obviously too big for me to take with me. So I'd go those days just using an acapella (which really isn't very effective for me). It may work for some, but I have found only manual CPT and the Vest work. My mom or sister will pound me if I ask (feel like I need it). But now I can just bring my vest with and be totally independent! I love being able to c...

My Pin Challenge for January! (Pin #2)

January Pinterest Challenge:  Remember that I said each month ( Read About My Pinterest Challange HERE) I would try a Pin from one of my Pinterest Boards! Well, I'd like to share the Snowman Ornament Pin and the frosted Wine Glass Pin!! I made these for a couple friends this year for Christmas. I have a couple friends that I trade ornaments with and I'm already planning mine for next year! And I gave wine glasses to a couple friends as well. Both worked out really cute! They were simple pin to do! I changed a couple things, just to make it cheaper and for my own personal taste. Here are the Pins I tried out: FROSTED WINE GLASSES I took some pictures to help show how I re-created the look of both. First I will show the steps for the wine glass.. First of all, buy a wine glass (Dollar Store has them for $1 or buy bulk at Wal-mart, etc). You will need rubber bands ($1-dollar store) and frost spray ($7 at Hobby Lobby or Micheals). Secondly, put rubber bands ...

Need a Budget Friendly Christmas?

Need a Budget Friendly Chirstmas: Never know what to buy for presents? End up spending more than you should on gifts? Don't understand where your money goes around the holidays?   Well, here is my advise and tips on how to have a budget friendly and yet still memorable holiday experience!!! Each year, I spent an entire paycheck in December on gifts alone. That didn't include wrapping, cards, food, and travel for the parties. I finally realized I could still have the same great Christmas, but save money doing it. We (My boyfriend and I) decided to be smart about how much we  spent at Christmas in 2013. We are sticking to a budget and there is no reason Christmas can't be reasonable too. I know it's tacky to discuss actual numbers when it comes to money. But I'm not embarrased to share. I want everyone to think about how much they spend. It really adds up. Showing the acutual numbers is the easiest way. ...

Devoured Bdubs, effective meds, & pics!

Craft Show & Some Bdubs!  Yesterday, was my mom's craft show. She has such cute crocheted products (Hats, Scarves, Earwarmers, Beards, Toys, Purses, etc) that I was soo excited to see how she would do selling her stuff. It was in Naperville, IL. Andrew and I met mom and dad there. It was a great day. Andrew wore one of the crocheted beards mom was selling and walked around in it. AND a couple people came by and said " Oh, this is where the beards are, I saw somebody wearing one earlier" (people love them, they sell quick too for $5).  He's such a good sport! (Here is what mom's cubicle/booth looked like.) The stacking bins really help organize stuff by size! Overall, it was a great show and so much fun! (Below is a close up of mom's Hat Bins!) Love her hats!!!    However, my stomach hurt really bad for a chunk of the morning (thanks to Colon issues: read my last post about my Colon issues here! ) We spent the day helping mom a...

Lil Updates: Laura, School, Medical Issues

Updates: Laura, School, Medical Issues: My Lil Updates: Medical Issues: The GI issues that have been keeping me from work, etc are getting better! ( Read about my GI issues here.  ) I'm  going to see a GI doc tomorrow to figure out what all is going on. I know most people hate going to the doctor, but I'm always happy to go. I like to know what's going on and catch problems before they become bigger issues! So Wednesday I see the GI specialist and Thursday I go back to Dr. B's for the Evaluation for the Clinical Trial. The first meeting didn't go to well, so hoping this Thursday is better and I can start the trial! ( read here about the clinical trial mess)  So glad this will all be sorted out this week! School:  I'm officially Medically Withdrawing from the semester. I missed 4 weeks total in classes due to hospitalizations and IVs. The school has told me I'll be on the 3 year plan (going part time)...However, I'm not okay with that, because 3 ye...

Class and Crafts!

Class and Crafts Sorry, I disappeared for a bit. I had lots of exams and papers due last week for my classes. I also wanted to focus on getting back on track. I discussed how I had been getting off track with my meds and everything in my last few posts. I have been doing better. I'm still not doing all my meds everyday, but it really is quite difficult to even fit in the ones that I can do. I need to start jogging now too though. I didn't add it back into my schedule at first, for fear of adding too much. So besides class, what have I been up to? well, when I do my meds and treatments, I have found some fun things to keep me occupied. I have been painting and organizing my scrapbooking stuff. I do some crafting too, like making picture frames, etc. My mom has been crafting a lot too lately. Well, technically she has been sewing and crocheting. We both sells some of our products at a local store called Annie's  Little Pots! We also are doing a craft show in a coupl...
