My week and this Summer!

Plans, Plans, Plans:

I haven't been blogging much, sorry. Failure on my part. Now that school is done, I'm hoping to have more time to blog.

This week my classes ended, however, I'm still studying Real Estate, since I'm taking the state exam in a couple weeks. After I pass that I can get a job doing real estate. I know it is purely commission based, so at first I won't make much. But, my plan is just to learn the ropes this summer working at an agency and then get hired at an agency located by where I'm going to school in the fall.

I'm waiting to hear back from the 2 schools I applied to, but it may be a few more weeks. Fingers crossed. I want to get my Masters in Social Work and pay my way through school using real estate.

Serving (even though I really enjoy it) won't work after I move. My muscle wall (in my stomach, etc) is pretty weak due to years of coughing and strain, so little holes develop and before I even realize it...yep, hernia. I've had them before and have had them fixed a couple times.  I have two, one has been bothering me the last week. And today, I noticed pain at another location that could be one. So... yeah. I need to stop running around and lifting heavy objects... right, me not run around.

I was hoping to put it off until August (so I don't have to take off work). I hoping to move to Chicago around August 1st and start classes middle of the month. So it would be ideal timing, but since it actually has been bothering me that makes it more of a priority. Unfortunately that makes saving harder, being off from work always makes saving money harder. So fingers crossed I can make the money I need to move to Chicago.

Anyway, that about catches everyone up! Hopefully, my next blog will be sooner :-) Also, tonight I went jogging for the first time in a while ( due to med issues I wasn't able to). Wow, I can tell. I didn't even get the full mile in before my lungs hurt and I was coughing. I had to turn around and call it quits. Sadness, We'll see what Clinic results say Tuesday and then I'll just have to keep trying harder.  Which I can do.

All I know is I'm soo excited to go! Last Fall I went to Las Vegas with my friend Amanda! It was soo much fun and had been like decade..seriously 10+ years...since I had been on vacation (well more than wknd trips to see friends who live within a 10 hr drive, hee hee Kym!) When I get back from my trip this weekend, I will post about it too! I just have to pack a little more when I go places and make sure to do my meds. On top of the regular, clothes, etc that most people pack  I will also pack: therapy machine 5 nebulizer cups  28 vials of medicine for my nebulizers over 150 pills I will take during the wknd 16 cans of stomach...

Tech-savvy Thursday- new look!

New Look: Getting Tech-Savvy: Since, I'm getting more involved in blogging, I decided it was time to give my blog a makeover! eMake-overs are always fun, whether you getting a new hair style, or outfit at the mall. However, I've been researching a lot about blogs and social networking. And I thought it may be time to update my blog's look.      I think I like my new one (at the top) a lot better than the old one (pictured on right). What do you think? I wanted my blog to feel more personal and I wanted to make it more tech-savy. I kept the black/purple color scheme. But made the purple the main color instead (and made it a softer purple). I then started looking up how to make my own buttons, widgets, etc. It isn't too hard to find tutorials for anything these days, between google, pinterest, and forums, you can pretty much find instructions for anything. I used a simple code and photobucket to make my own buttons: I think my new Tw...

The Man that Saved My Life

A Story About an Amazing Doctor: On Saturday I went to the Peoria Great Strides Walk. I've done the walk in 2009, 2012, 2013 and now 2014! I love the Peoria Walk site, It has a great route right along a very beautiful & prominent street. One side of the street are architecturally amazing and grand homes and on the other side is the river. What a gorgeous route to walk! This year Peoria added our Team Sign to the Route! CF2 (well CF (squared)) but the 2 always ends up next to it (even in my blog). It's hard to type CF and 2 to the second power! It technically stands for "Courageoulsy Fighting Cystic Fibrosis" I was beyond thrilled when I saw the official sign on the route! Pic on right: Mom and I & the Team Sign! Andrew and Sarah came too though :-) Peoria's Walk is always really friendly too. There was a photobooth, UniqueTwist (makes balloon creations), a Drum core and little girl with CF's dance class performed! I also got to see one of my two ...
