Crazy week, but a friend got new lungs, yay!

Rashes, Scrapes The Play, and Got Some GOOD News Today:


My days have been soo random and roller coaster-ish lately. Which is fine, it keeps life interesting, and have ups and downs everyday is a lot better than just having plain ol bad days.

But for example the other night, I aced my exam (good), enjoyed play practice, found our a friend was admitted for CF problems, and I started having my allergic reaction to the med I'm on. This was within a couple hours of each other. It was crazy.

And today, I worked at both jobs and made pretty good tips! Which was awesome. However, I do look like a weirdo cuz i have a rash that keeps appearing. Which I think I have figured out what I'm allergic to, I started a couple new pills 2 weeks ago, so Dr. B and I will discuss it Monday over the phone and all will be well.. (my legs were pure spots/rash, sorry bad picture!)

And I lost my balance tonight and  I fell stepping down into my garage (2 steps, yep, lame). Landed with the step in my back and of course I try to catch myself. Bad Idea, I scraped my arm up... I'm so glad for the play I wear long sleeves and no shorts. Otherwise I'd be in full body make-up!

I'm very excited about the play being next weekend! Its a great cast, its a small cast of like 6 people, but it has been a lot of fun!

BUT THEN I get home, log into Facebook to find out my Cyster (friend I met online with CF), Alyssa has received her new lungs and is stable in the ICU! She has been patiently waiting for new lungs, I'm excited for her to get this 2nd chance! I hope and pray she continues to recover well and fast! Seriously, seeing the update online made my night :-)

How exciting for her, her family and friends!

Tomorrow night we start tech week for the show! Hope to see some family and friends there either (Wed- Family Night), or one of the nights it performs (Fri-Sun)! This week is going to be a lot of fun! <3

And in a couple weeks my arthritis [note: the appointment went well, but they have to rule out all other diseases/causes first. so willl let you know when I do] will start to be figured out, my surgery will be over, my exams will be over, one play will be done with, and life will become a lot simpler. OOOOH and I'm signing up for another 5K in June! Keep you posted on that! :-)

Today's BIG Appointment

 I discussed last week about my recent struggles & goals. I have been dealing with a lot all at once! Family planning (update on that in 2 weeks), my Grandma's funeral, lower lung function. Through it all I have remained very compliant with my meds! My health is VERY important to me. So this last weekend I took my vest machine, wabi sterilizer system , and packs of ensure to my parent's for the weekend. I wanted to make sure I did everything. While it was a sad occasion, it was still pleasant seeing almost all of the family together again. Actually 27 out of 29 of the cousins made it to the funeral. Grandpa is in the middle of the picture (can you find me?) LOL   On top of my medications I have been doing some dancing & walking, but no jogging or anything. I'm still counting calories on my fitbit (hitting over 3000) a day (& 40 grams of protein, 50 grams of fat at least). I knew I was feeling a bit better than before, but wasn't sure what to expec...

Beginning of the Year Troubles

Normal "beginning of the year" troubles for Andrew and I only really consist of one topic: Our Deductible [please no Obama, or government bashing] I've always had high deductibles ALL MY LIFE (no matter who was president). The problem is I hit my deductible within the first week of January. In the past I have always prepared for this and since I was still on my father's insurance (up until last year) he typically paid the bill (at least for medical stuff). And in the future Andrew & I won't have such an issue with this. We will be able to save and plan ahead for the $3,000 (for my deductible, his is another $3,000). However, this year was more difficult. We saved all 2013-2014 for our wedding & honeymoon, plus had our deductible saved too. But Real Estate was a pricey career to start, I've put almost $5,000 into it (classes, dues, licensing, exam, advertising, etc). So needless to say our deductible disappeared, thanks to my new career. Wh...

Husband and Wife

We Took Our Vows: Sunday, August 16th, Andrew and I said "I do." People asked me all weekend if I was getting nervous and now that we are married people ask how married life is going. Well, here is what I have been telling everyone.  No, I wasn't nervous about the wedding or marrying Andrew. I was slightly nervous I'd fall flat on my face in 2 inch heels walking down the aisle (which was grass). But, why would I be nervous to get married to Andrew. I've never had a doubt in my mind about him. I knew I wanted to marry him. We were  ready to be husband and wife and you just know when you are ready. So no, I wasn't nervous. And now that we are married I'd have to say life is similar to it was before we were married. People say "oh things change after you're married." But they didn't for us.
